The word codependency is often treated like a “bad” word — framed as an addiction, an illness, or a personality flaw associated with low self-esteem and being overly dependent on relationships. For many, it carries an immediate layer of shame. But that view is limited, and often harmful. In this live event, you’ll be invited into a healthier and more expansive understanding: codependency as a spectrum of learned relational patterns that developed to help you navigate relationships where safety, consistency, or emotional connection felt uncertain or conditional. In simpler terms, these patterns were ways you learned to keep yourself safe — and because they were learned, they can also be unlearned. We’ll explore how these patterns often begin in childhood, how they live in the nervous system, and how self-abandonment can become automatic over time. You’ll leave with a shift in perception and practical tools to help you come back home to yourself.
